Photo Tips
When it comes to creating a beautiful and accurate custom pet portrait, the quality of the photo you provide is of utmost importance. To ensure the best results, please follow these tips and guidelines:
- Use a high-quality, high-resolution photo taken in natural or bright lighting and avoiding any shadows. We can accept photos up to 10mb. Most newer smart phones will take great photos.
- Focus on your pet's face. Take the photo straight-on, not tilted, and at eye level of your pet ensuring you include their whole head and some of their neck. It works best if they are sitting or standing, not laying down.
- Avoid blurry, filtered or out-of-focus photos.
- Avoid obstructions in the photo that are around the face (ie: people, toys, leashes, etc.)
- Multiple Pets in the photo? Crop in on the pet you'd like the portrait to be based off of.
Because our goal is to get your portrait to you as soon as possible, we do not offer proofs of the artwork before going to print. However, if we feel like the photo you submitted will not work the best, we will reach out to you to get a new one!
